Shantam is a grad student from the computer science department, currently working at the intersection of Machine Learning and Medicine. Having dabbled in quantitative finance and Investment Banking, Shantam enjoys mathematical complexity and thrives under pressure. He enjoys coding, especially designing engineering solutions to interesting problems and often explores new tools, frameworks, and technologies. He loves reading research papers in diverse fields and unwinds by meditating and playing the electric guitar in his free time.

Sudip is an AI enthusiast pursuing his MS in Computer Science at the University at Buffalo. He holds a degree from BRAC University, where he focused on computer vision research. With two years of industry experience as a Database Engineer, he brings strong skills in data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis. At the Roy Lab, he applies his AI expertise to study neural changes in epilepsy, aiming to uncover insights and advance the field of neuroscience.

With a background in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, she specializes in machine learning, data analytics, and software engineering. Her projects, like an entity matching system and sentiment analysis tool, highlight her ability to turn complex data into insights. She is passionate about applying data science to real-world challenges.

Debosmit is a graduate student in Computer Science at the University at Buffalo. His research focuses on Deep Learning, with applications in Computer Vision and Biomedical Engineering. He has published work in Computer Vision and Human-Computer Interaction. At the Roy Lab, he is exploring Computational Neuroscience by building brain-inspired Spiking Neural Network simulations. He is passionate about research and eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals.

Mrudula Samant is going to be a senior at Lancaster High School this fall. She's interested in studying neuroscience, psychology, and biology when she goes to college. Her interest in the brain is what led her to shadowing at the Roy Lab over the summer. She hopes to either become a researcher or doctor later in life. She enjoys playing the flute, reading, and writing in her spare time.
